Web App Privacy Policy

This page covers the website and browser-based web app only. The iPhone app stores data separately and does not sync plans with the web app. Read the iOS App Privacy Policy for the native app.

Your browser stores your paychecks, bills, expenses, debts, budgets, and plan settings in local storage on that device. SolventPBM does not receive or store those plan contents on its servers, and they are not sent to Clerk or Whop. The website also sets a first-party cookie for up to seven days to remember whether the navigation sidebar is open or closed. The iOS app uses separate on-device storage and does not sync with web plans.

Clerk manages web-app sign-in and processes the account and authentication information needed to provide that service. SolventPBM receives your Clerk account identifier to authenticate web-app requests and associate verified subscription access with your account. We do not send your budget plan to Clerk. Web subscriptions use Whop-hosted checkout. Whop processes information you submit during checkout, including the details needed to handle payment and maintain your buyer and membership records. To connect a verified membership to your signed-in SolventPBM account, our server sends Whop your Clerk account identifier as checkout metadata and later checks Whop for membership and access status. SolventPBM does not receive or store your payment-card or bank details, and your budget plan is not sent to Whop. See Whop’s Privacy Policy for more information.

If Project Analytics is enabled for the published website, Replit may collect traffic metrics such as unique visitor counts, referral sources, pages viewed, countries, browser and device information, and IP-based traffic data. The website may also send Replit custom interaction events about general feature use, action type, status, and source location. These events do not include your email address, paycheck or budget amounts, bill or debt names, or plan contents. Replit explains its handling of this data in its Privacy Policy. The native iOS app does not use these website analytics.

The iPhone launch list is closed now that the app is available, and the website no longer accepts new launch-update emails. If you joined before release, your email address and signup and delivery records remain in the app’s PostgreSQL database hosted by Replit. You can still request deletion of your address and related app records using the launch list removal form. Resend handled welcome and launch emails and may retain its own message and delivery records under its Privacy Policy. You can also email solventpbm@protonmail.com if you need help. If you email us, we receive the email address and message you send so we can respond. Messages to this address are handled by Proton Mail. Please do not include sensitive financial information unless it is necessary for support.

JSON plan backups and selected-year paycheck archive exports (CSV or JSON) are created in your browser. You can import a JSON backup in your browser; the file is read locally and its plan is saved to your browser’s local storage, not uploaded to SolventPBM’s servers. SolventPBM does not receive or inspect files exported from the web app. If you choose to save or share an export through a cloud, email, or another service, that provider handles its copy under its own terms. Clearly labeled sponsor or affiliate links may lead to other companies’ websites; SolventPBM does not attach your locally stored plan to those links.

If SolventPBM’s web data practices change, this page will be updated before or when the change is released. The effective date at the top will show when the policy was last revised.
